One of Priidu Aavik’s favorite subjects was the harbor with ships, cranes, and working people.

Priidu Aavik initial art education has received in A.Lajkmaa’s studio. With 1934-1938 studied at Art School “Pallas”, in N.Triik ‘s studio. Since 1940 is engaged in teaching activity.

It was improved in 1939 in Paris. Since 1938 a member of Art society “Pallas”. With 1944 -1945- director at Tartu Art Institute. Since 1947 -1948 in Tallinn the chairman of Art fund.
