Georges Becker – a famous French painter, a pupil of the famous artist Jean-Léon Gérôme. Graduate of the Julian Academy of Paris. At the invitation of the Romanov Imperial House, he lived and worked in Russia for a long time, where he was engaged in portraiture and wrote paintings for the orders of members of the Imperial House. The most famous of his work – “The Coronation of Emperor Alexander III and the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna”, 1888, is in the State Hermitage
