Georg von Behrens was born in Riga. Art education has received in 1923 – 24 years in the British Academy in Rome, 1925-26, respectively, in Florence, at the Academy of Fine Arts, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1926 to 1927, the same from 1936 to 1939. Then he continued his studies in Paris. He worked in Switzerland, mainly in Grindelwald.
