R. Büchter – the landscape painter, the portraitist and the illustrator. The artist was born in St. Petersburg. He has been studying in the Polytehnical School in Riga, later – was the apprentice of known Russian artists Gavriil Kondratenko and Ivan Shishkin. In 1889 he had moved to Munich, Germany and stayed there till the ending of his life ..
