Büchtger, Robert (1862 – 1951). Winter Landscape. (Late 19th early 20th century)

Oil on canvas painting by Robert Büchtger, titled “Winter Landscape.” This beautiful piece, measuring 90 x 116 cm, is signed lower left by Rob. Büchtger. A renowned landscape painter, portraitist, and illustrator, R. Büchtger’s career spanned St. Petersburg, Riga, and Munich. Apprenticed to notable Russian artists Gavriil Kondratenko and Ivan Shishkin, he later moved to Munich, where he lived till his life’s end. This landscape painting exemplifies his skill and mastery as a Munich artist of the late 19th and early 20th century.
