Studied under Paul Raud and August Jansen at the Tallinn State Art Industry School from 1928 to 1934, was a student of the Jaan Koort State Art School from 1938 to 1941. Started to take part in the exhibitions since 1934.Preferred painting in the thirties, but in the forties got interested in drawing and revealed himself as an outstanding master of portraits. Created many interesting works of art after his trips to Armenia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Italy, Ukraine and Tadzhikistan.
Correspondent member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR from 1958, professor of art since 1963. Eduard Einmann’s works can be found in many museums throughout the world.
