Estonian artist Elvi Gailit was deported with his family in 1949 in Russia. From 1955 to 1957 she studied at the Irkutsk Art School. Then, the family returned to Estonia. From 1957 to 1959 she studied at Tartu Art School, then enrolled in the National Academy of Arts, from which she graduated in 1965. Artist favorite genre painter is floral still-life’s.
