A German artist from Upper France studied with Paul Klee (!) At the Munich Academy of Art. Between 1939 and 45 he was a propaganda-drawer (German term), and in 1945 he was taken prisoner by the Americans. 1959-62 worked in the US, painted presidents D. Eisenhower and J. Kennedy. 1965 made an Egyptian trip where this motif comes from. In 1976 he was visited by Walther Scheel, President of the SFV in Wunsiedel.
