In 1946, the Estonian artists were creative mission in Armenia. There Calle made a series of beautiful ink drawings. In 1947, he was on the basis of these figures, made a series of etchings.

Graduated from the “Pallas” Art School, studied under A.Laigo and R.Vakher. A master of drawing, known for exquisite book illustrations. Richard Kaljo is a renowned author of landscapes, nudes and various compositions.
