Alex Kütt, 1945, studied at the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Arts, graduated in 1949. Then he worked from 1949 to 1985, lecturer at the Department of drawing and graphics at the Art Academy of Estonia.
Especially it is known as a printmaker. Using different techniques of engraving was an experimenter in new techniques of electro-colour gravure printing and graphic hot. He liked to portray, fishermen, industrial motifs, landscapes, sports, war. In early works close to nature, in the second half of the 1960s, his work became more complex, which was attended by his imagination and became the predominant decorative style.
