Agraphic and painter, Myart Laarman was also occupied with teaching and literary work. In the twenties he studied at A.Laikmaa’s school, then continued his education during trips to Northern countries (Finland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden). Was a member of the Estonian Cubists and Constructivists Group, in the thirties he changed to rather realistic motifs. Typical of his works is the laconic and decorative style in the use of colours and reserved lyrical interpretation.
