Very interesting pastels by Nikolai Kull during his training with Ants Laikmaa (1921-1922). A. Laikmaa led most of the students to the national romantic material and taught them pastel techniques. N. Kull shows himself here as a capable young artist. In 1925-26, Kull studied at Pallas, in the workshop of N. Triik. In 1920 and 1922 he made creative trips to Germany and Finland.
