He was born in 1963 in Tambov. Graduated in 1986 from the Pensa Art School named after C.A.Savitsky and in 1992 – from Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov (studio of Prof.V.N.Zabelin). From 1997 to 2000 worked in the master studio at the Russian Academy of Arts (instructed by A.P. and S.P.Tkatshov). He has taken part in numerous expositions in Moscow, Russia and abroad. His works are found in the museums and private collections of Russia, Norway,United Kingdom, U.S.A., Japan and other countries.
