Richard Sagrits was a student of the renowned artists R.Nyman, G.Reindorff, N.Triik and A.Vabbe. He graduated from the “Pallas” Art School in Tartu in 1936 and scored notable success for landscapes and sea pieces. His graphics and monumental works reveal a whole range of colours typical for the “Pallas” school.
Richard Sagrits was a prolific exhibitor. His works were shown in Riga and Kaunas (1937), Rome, Budapest (1939), and Moscow (1943, 1956).
