She studied at the Kharkov Institute of Arts, at the Surikov Moscow State Institute of Arts (1945-1950) under P.Ya. Pavlinov and I.E. Grabar; her graduation project was directed by V.P. Yefanov. Sergeyeva participated in the All-USSR Exhibitions of 1950 and 1951, becoming famous in Moscow. Sergeyeva is a brilliant representative of the Moscow impressionism school. Personal exhibitions of the artist were organized on a regular basis in Moscow, Prague, Luxemburg, and Paris.
The works by Sergeyeva are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery in Moscow, the collections of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Museum of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts, in many regional museums, in Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the New Picture Gallery of Munich, as well as other Russian and foreign private collections.
