At the end of the Tartu Art School “Pallas” entered the Faculty of Sculpture of the Estonian State Art Institute (now Academy), who graduated in 1964. A member of the Artists’ Union of Estonia since 1967.
Member of numerous national and international exhibitions, the winner of a number of competitions. His works are in private collections and museums in Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Belgium, the US, Armenia and other countries.
A painting measuring 4 by 3 meters based on the epic “Kalevipoeg” adorns the lobby of City Government Kohtla-Jarve.
The artist made a great contribution to preserving the unique culture of ethnic Setu. In 1974 he founded the museum in Seth Saatse it from 1993 to 2008 he worked at the museum, giving a lot of energy for its maintenance and development.
