Estate of Count Yusupov Archangel near Moscow – an outstanding monument representing classicism simultaneously widely known, priceless cultural studies museum. Latvian artist E.Veydemanis (whose father – Karlis was also a painter) studied architecture in Latvia, painting – in Moscow, where most lived and worked. This attraction was repeatedly embodied by the artist (2003 – Award of the Government of Moscow).
Veidemanis Egil Karlovich (1924-2004) Painter. Honored Artist of Russia. Laureate of the Moscow City Hall (2003) for his work on Moscow. After demobilization from the army, he studied at the Moscow Art School “Memory of 1905.” He graduated from the faculty of architecture of the Latvian State University. Permanently exhibited at the All-Union art exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1985, 2002, 2005), in 1987 in Riga and Cesis (Latvia). His works are in the Museum of History and Reconstruction of Moscow, in the museums of Kaluga, Ryazan, Cesis and Riga (Latvia). Most of the works by the artist acquired by the Ministry of Culture of the USSR.
